Every bride looks lovely on her day.  From her hair to the pointy tip of her shoes. I have photographed many brides as they got primed for their D-day and watched as a hair stylist straightened their Brazillian weaves into curls, waves and updo's . 

So recently,  I told my boyfriend now my fiancé of my intention to wear my natural hair during the wedding and guess what ?  He said ‘Eh?’ And laughed.  But it wasn’t a laughter of scorn to belittle me. I don’t blame him as I had been referring to my hair as kpenkpeshie after some days of not combing it. And all he could see was a few inches of growth. But he loves my hair to bits! 

I then said, ‘herh! I am going to blog about your reaction! Do you think there aren’t beautiful hairstyles for natural hair for weddings? Let me educate you!'

A software engineer often engaged in creating codes, obviously he hadn’t seen any before. So I had to show him.

Natural hair brides are amazingly simple and gorgeous in their updo’s and twist-outs. I don’t know how long it takes to style them but I know it is much cheaper than fixing Brazilian weaves.
